Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Course
About the course : Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course covers the entire spectrum of engineering as high degree of technical skill and acumen attributes to Flight safety and maintenance safety. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course unlike other branches is directly controlled by the DGCA, Ministry of Civil Aviation Department, Govt of India. The AME course duration is 3 years, out of which 2.5 years is theoretical and practical followed by six months of post institutional practical training (OJT) in an aviation organization, approved by the DGCA. Admission is made on the basis of entrance examination. The course normally commences in July in each academic year.

Eligibility : Students of any nationality may be admitted for the AME course. Candidates shall have passed 10+2 Class with an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics & Mathematics / PCM or three years Diploma in any branch of Engineering.
Medical : The student will have to produce a medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner with minimum MBBS qualification to certify that he / she has no physical disability and the colour vision is normal.

Mode of Payment : By demand draft in favour of Center for Civil Aviation Training payable at New Delhi.

CCAT is approved by DGCA, Govt of India in following categories :
- Radio Navigation System (RN)
- Electrical System (ES)
- Instrument System (IS)
- Jet Engine (JE)
- Heavy Aeroplane (HA)
- Light Aircarft ( LA )
- Piston Engine ( PE )

System of Admission :
Registration Starts in March every year.Students are admitted on the basis of Entrance Exam / Interview . The registered students are admitted after verifying the qualification and medical.
Affiliation to other University :
Not applicable DGCA, Ministry of Civil Aviation is the only authority to approve the institute for AME courses. CCAT has been approved by DGCA for AME courses in Mechanical Stream (HA, JE, LA & PE) and Avionics Stream (ES, IS & RN).
